Luminous was a 12-week art and design competition hosted by the RCA Information Experience Design Programme in partnership with LG Display. The competition invited artists to generate transformative information experiences to challenge and disrupt perspectives using the unique capabilities offered by LG’s OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) technology. Luminous is dedicated to these deeper and brighter encounters. The finalist had the opportunity to exhibit their proposal at the Old Street Gallery from 28 Sept to 3 October 2022. The artists and designers in this exhibition have combined skills in creative coding and installation design with highly precise light and sound technology, to generate brilliance from deep spaces.

A room with a view by Alexandra Topaz, Laura Selby and Devanshi Rungta which features two immersive sound displays as a window that shifts between a realistic view and a hyperreal view
ALPHABETA by Finbar Marcel, a speculative system that visually represents post-language communication using transparent technology
